HELP OUT

Volunteer: Members of the museum are eligible to participate in museum operations and projects. The scope of activities runs from the sedentary to the physical, can involve working with the public or not, requires a wide range of skills as well as unskilled labor. Would you like to train as a trolley motorman or track car operator? Sell tickets and staff the Gift Shop? Become an expert in trolley restoration? Drive the fire truck in a summer parade? Help maintain our buildings, mow the lawn, patch the roof? The opportunities are many, and the fun of working together as we save history for the delight of our visitors brings a special feeling of accomplishment. Call or e-mail us to join in the fun!

Contribute: The New York Museum of Transportation is chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York as a non-profit educational institution. Our 501(c)(3) Internal Revenue status makes donations and membership contributions tax deductible in accordance with tax laws. We are delighted to accept monetary contributions, directed to a specific museum project or to general funds, as well as donations of historic vehicles, artifacts, photographs, and other items relating to transportation history.
